For the sixth year in a row, Melbourne has topped The Economist’s list of the world’s most liveable cities. In the Marvellous Melbourne – Its Art and Soul exhibition, 27 prominent Victorian artists capture the city’s uniqueness in a delightful array of paintings, drawings, prints and photographic artworks.

Images highlight Melbourne’s love of sport, the arts, its beautiful parks and gardens, fashion, festivals, laneways and street cafe life, transport, shipping industry and its distinctive architecture.

Artists include painters Ivan Durrant, Geoff La Gerche, Anne Marie Graham, Daniel Moynihan, James Pasakos, Lyn Beaumont, Christine Wrest-Smith, Victor Rubin, Amaya Iturri, Jacqui Grantford, Betina Fauvel-Ogden, Allen Hicks, Chris Seater, Jim van Geet, Susan Sutton; photographers Bill Bachman, Peter Garnick, Roger Gould, Thomas Conger, Doug Porter, Judith Schiff, Angela Miller, Joyce Agee, Hiroki Nagahiro, Richard Shaw and James Thorn, along with Melbourne Graffiti Artist, Slicer.
